Hikone 彦根市

Hikone is a city located in Shiga prefecture in Kansai. This little town of around 111 800 inhabitants, lies near Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan. The most famous site of the city is Hikone castle, but there is also a beautiful garden of Chinese inspiration and an historic downtown entirely renovated.
